Bit of a late one for this weekend 😮 😮

I have got a match this sunday on Willow at Shearsby (CJS) has anyone got any pointers, recent tactics or methods that are catching please…

Had a match on Alder back in June wondered if it was a similar approach???

        Cheers Scott.

          Scott,

peg 26 won it wednesday with just under 100lb, peg 14 was 2nd and peg 2 was 3rd.

how it fished really depends on how many are fishing 15 is about right on there. The narrow side (low numbers) can be hard normally the better pegs on this bank are peg 2, peg 10 and peg 14.

The wide side is the most consistant with peg 26,24 and 15 being my favoured draws.

bait wise identical to alder mate. I believe alot of fish are being caught shallow on both lakes at the moment.

          hope this helps.

fished the Alder lake two weeks ago, our match was on the side with the leylandi trees behind you up to about peg 17 – open upto 27, the lake was and proberbly still is down with regards to the water level !! almost 20 inches. I drew peg 13, fed 4mm’s across to one of several islands that span the lakes length(14.5 mts), fed in between the islands, 6mm feed pellet banded on hair rig at any were between 3″ to 6″ deep they were just ripping my pole into the water… I tried down the track and fed the margins, but most of the fish came from across the island… the first two hours were very slow, the match on the other side also seemed to have the same probs, some of the lads also fished the method across to the islands with some success , using corn and meat, I won the match with the above method across to the island, hope this helps .. good luck
