        I have just bought one of these rods (Thanks tackle 21) and subsequently bought another butt section with a view to fishing the 9′ version mainly with a bomb for short chucks, and down the margin. I’m sure the rod will be up to this but wondered what the line ratings are for this rod. ~think ~think ~think

                      One of the best rods i’ve ever owned! Absolutely love mine. Wouldnt be afraid of putting anything through it. I’ve used upto 8lb maxima on mine fishing for late doubles and it handles it with ease.

                              At the risk of flogging this to death could users of the rod give me their opinion of it at the two lengths and do others also have a second butt enabling use of both versions if needed.

                                  The new beastmaster BX 9-11ft is out very soon expect to pay about £115, we have some on order and expect delivery late december.

                                  I was very impressed by the new shimano commercial rods at the trade show.
