shot or stotz

Hi
What is the difference between using shot and stotz,and when we should use one or another?

Stotz are easier to apply, especially in the small sizes. They don’t “ping” off, when using small shots and heavy line.

I feel that my rigs work better with shots though, especially if fishing on the drop.

In most cases I wouldn’t mind using either type

It’s a personal choice I’ve just gone back to shot after using stotz for the last few years, got fed up with stotz sliding about after netting fish etc.So far have not had any problems
(Garbolino Shot).

Stotz are difficult to remove too its easier to remove a shot dropper.
