Silverfish pole

I am looking for some advice on what is the best silverfish pole out there today. I have moved to Germany and the only carp we have over here run to tens of kilos, so no commercials at all. However some of the silver fishing can be good (as is Holland next door) with lots of roach, bream and other species which dont exist in uk but arelike chub, dace in appearance. I am thinking of getting a Daiwa Spectron M2 to do just the job but is there anything better?

Better bet is a 2nd hand Exceler….. cheap as chips and more robust than the Mk 2 especially if you are going to encounter odd bonus fish…. Mk 2 is definitely a 12 rated elastic pole!!

Looked for one of these but seem to be as hard as rocking horse poo to find?

I own both poles Ice Man2 love em’ both but only fish canals and rivers…. If you can find a 2nd hand Speccie I wouldn’t put you off it… Lovely pole if not as stiff as some…. Spares are well cheap for a top of the range model…. Thereby goes a tale I suspect!!

I used a M2 on Sunday catching roach at 14.5m absolute magic, light stiff and responcive.

I also have the origional spectron comp. which is slightly heavier and robust and a tourny pro for carp work.

Unless there was a chance of bigger fish over 5lb on a regular basis or where fishing near possible snags, elasticate through the top 3 with up to a 12 and you will land most fish with ease, use lines and hooklengths which are balanced with the elastic and break your hooklength not the pole.
