It was one of the best matches recorded at the fishery six weights over 100lb and anglers tipping back 60lb nets, at the top of the list was school teacher John Woodland having one carp on the method feeder cast to island before changing to the pole fishing down both margins with corn and meat he landed a further 20 big carp – 10lb for a level 156lb. 2nd placed Mick had 2 14lb mirrors in his catch but the rest was made up of carp – 5lb on the pole and pasted fished out and later in the match meat fished down the margin weighing in 144lb 7oz. 3rd placed Daz Stayley fished the pellet waggler all match casting tight to the lily pads he landed 137lb 11oz of carp – 6lb.

Peg 43 seems fast becoming a flyer, but were ever John Woodland draws at the moment it becomes a flyer, fishing the pole with caster and worm he landed 150 Ide – 1lb for 45lb and the rest of his 89lb 5oz was made up of bream and carp – 4lb from the margin later in the match. Dave Round was second from end peg 61 fishing the pole and corn long to the lily’s he had 7 carp – 8lb and 25lb of Ide for a total of 70lb 12oz.

Kristian fished the method feeder and a banded 10mm pellet cast to the island at peg 17 after a slow start he landed 17 carp – 8lb making a total of 67lb 15oz. 2nd placed Pete made the most of the end peg draw and fished down the margin with the pole and meat at peg 54 landing 15 carp his biggest being a 12lb common.
