TF_CutnutGet yourself a Bargain…top gear for the right money.
Royal Navy Waterproof GORE-TEX Jacket
http://www.thistlegarments.co.uk
Remainder of buffer stocks from our 2004-2010 contract with the UK armed forces as sole supplier for Foul Weather Clothing Brand new unworn.I’ve long been a Protak TR man and still am, but this was a bargain not to be ignored.
£59.95 for the jacket , £29.95 for the over trousers.
This is not paclite goretex and is made very well. Delivery was very quick too.
If you want a thermal thinsulate jacket to go underneath for winter these can be obtained direct by asking..you won’t find them on the website … tell them Pete Palmer recommended them 😉

TF_CutnutThe thinsulate under jackets can be made with elasticated cuffs to help keep out the drafts this winter if you wear it separate to the jacket, I reckon the jackets could be of the order of £20 to £25 but don’t quote me on this as the demand for them might decide the pricing.

TF_scrubbaJust when I thought I had spent enough on fishing lately, especially with the Div 1 coming up, somebody goes and puts a message like this on!!! 😀 😀
Well needless to say the tip flew round and I was well and truely hooked so I have ordered a set of jacket and overtrousers. Hopefully they will be good, and should certainly be better than forking out hundreds for other Gore tex gear. Tackle tarts might not like the lack the of badges etc.
Can anyone recomend a decent detergent for cleaning gore tex stuff without spoiling the waterproofness.
Tight lines.

TF_CutnutJust tried my lads Large jacket on with a regatta windproof fleece jacket on underneath and it was fine for me and I’m 5’10” and 16 stone, If I shed a stone it would be even better obviously.
Did try to warn you guys that this gear would be snapped up quick. The reflective strips only stand out at night when you shine a torch on them, so ideal when walking the dog this winter!
The postage was £4.
Looks like the overtrousers in big sizes are out of stock too…..maybe if they see that there’s a high demand they might get whatever leftover cloth out and make some more, but I’m guessing if they did that the price will be higher, but maybe lower than H H.

TF_Thistle GarmentsAfternoon,
I’m not sure if companies are allowed to post in these forums but I just thought I’d give you a quick update. We do have more fabric to make more Royal Navy Gore-tex jackets and these (plus Thinsulate jacket type liners) will be available in the next weeks. However we are currently assisting another local schoolwear manufacturer who are struggling to complete their orders for the first few weeks of the new term so at the moment our production lines are flooded with children’s skirts and trousers
Rest assured we are keen to develop our retail offering, there will be more garments available, not to mention garments in other colours and we’re also currently investigating sourcing more Gore fabric from an Austrian ski wear manufacturer.
Thanks for your continued interest and please bear with us while we help out this other company.
Thanks
Thistle Garments

TF_CutnutFair Do’s, as most have found out this is quality gear and a first rate return of service.
