Just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of some good fishing in this area. Have a day off next week so planning on having a day out for some proper fishing!!

Abingdon town centre is roach city.
Match there last sunday was won with 26lb of all roach with 23lb second. A number double figures as well.
Park in the car park by the bridge. £4 for the day. Walk up or downstream almost anywhere. Pole with caster over groundbait.
Waggler can work as well if the wind is OK.

Another good spot!! Upstream of the bridge opposite the ivy wall.. You cant miss it.. A reasonable chuck with a maggot feeder, tight to the wall as possible can produce some cracking chub sport. I once had 16 chub for 60ib plus a few years back. Can be a bit hairy with the boat traffic.. Have had them summer and winter but winter probably the best.. Not much boat traffic… But great sport if you get it right..
