TF_AnthonywatersParticipantWhats the worst peg you have ever drawn and why ? Mine all time least favourite is peg 2 on Pollawyn at White Acres it looks appealing but there never seems to be any fish there.

TF_AnthonywatersParticipantLots of bad draws mentioned but no specific pegs mentioned ? Come on guys name some pegs it will start an interesting debate on how good or bad the pegs are.

TF_mike pattinsonThis is a no brainer !
Few years ago at the Glebe for the Total Fishing match after travelling from Whitehaven with a couple of friends, I drew one of them (Scoobs)in the pairs.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, I put my hand in the bag and drew “THE BOARDS ON UGLIES” Thought it was my birthday, felt as though I’d won the lottery; I could have ran to the peg from the draw at Mallory Park with my gear on my back.
Parked up the car by the toilet, got out to admire the view down the lake, only to find all the carp in uglies under the bush at my feet at the toilet end.
Both me and the guy opposite had only three bites all day; could have cried, “just wanted to go home”.
To this day I still get reminded of that top draw at the Glebe

I can top this!
First round of Barston Masters I drew Peg 69 and suffered same as you.
Second round of Barston Masters I drew Peg 75. Was told it won the match a few days earlier so was not unhappy with the draw until I found out that 73 was in. I could not fish the tip as I would have interferred with his tip line. Peg 76 also has same issue.
I ended up packing up after two hours as pole line was a non starter.
Not 500 miles for me though. Only 2hr drive each way!
Afraid I won’t be going back to Barston in a hurry now though. -

You are right, It was like winning the lottery! I was all the jammy *******’s under the sun at the draw. Like I said “I could have ran to the peg from the draw at Mallory Park with my gear on my back” After the all out I wanted my gear strapped to my back and to jump in.
Just like on pool one, drew the board swim (Peg 6 i think), the method was cage feeder/bomb with bread tight to the boards. Every time I cast to the boards a family of coots hammered my bait, I ran out of bread and gave up;fished the pole for a great day on skimmers until a photographer sneaked up behind for a couple of photo’s. Not knowing he was their I shipped back, hit his camera lens and split my No 7.
What’s the saying “if it wasn’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all”
