TF_MICK THE BOOKIEJust heard that our mate Terry Molloy has had all his tackle stolen.
Terry had just retuned from Spain where he broke the match record with 506lb.Steve Gardner(England international),Terrys travel companion had 490lb.Report in this weeks Anging times.
Terry is great angler, and a top geezer, who has helped everyone who has asked him over the years.
He fished a team match in Birmingham on Saturday, which they won,and after a long journey back left his gear in his car outside the house.
This just proves again that you must never ever leave your tackle in the car for a moment, because the b******* only need a few mins to wipe out your lifetime of collecting your favourite peices for the sport you love.
PLEASE DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU. -

TF_FBluesI think Terry lives in the same part of the world as Bullet (John Merritt) who had a good part of his gear nicked last year. You just can’t be too careful. Hard lines Tel.

TF_Serious SamSure he’s already checked this out but . . . noticed my home contents insurance covers up to £1500 of stuff away from the house, including in the car, might not cover all of it but worth checking his policy to see if he has similar cover, at least get something back.
Thieving little s___s.

TF_MICK THE BOOKIEHave spoken to Terry again, and all the lads are trying to replace bits of kit.But as Stuart(squeeky Roller)has said its all your little bits and bobs that you will miss badly.
I remember when my pole was nicked out of the car in my private Car park i was gutted…but i had all my gear covered in transit, and on showing the receipt i got the whole cost back.I truly think you should all do this.I have it all covered for £7000 in transit linked to my contents of my House Insurance. If i remember its about a £10 extra per month.
As Keith has mentioned Terry lives in Sutton, and apparently 4 cars/vans were done in that area that same night.Police are on the case…but you know that means nought.
Terry and all the boys will be looking round the local car boots on Saturday and Sunday with baseball bats in their hands…Woe betide anyone who is found selling said items. -

Anonymousi’ll keep an eye out round my way..as these people don’t sell stuff on their own door step unless they’re totally stupid…but i wouldn’t hold you’re breath..but you never know we might strike lucky and unlucky for them..~shh

TF_inky fingerSadly one of our members suffered the same fate. He was tied up and robbed of all of his kit which was in the back of his car by a 3 lads while opening a security gate. Being robbed is bad enough but done with calculated violence on the way to the quiet lake. Horrific. The incident happened early Friday morning. The police where called and were all over the place apparently. Please watch out if your in the Newbury,Reading Berks area.

Once kicked his gear in a flooded river!!!
I was 1 mile down stream and boy Malloy

A reply, as tell was doing a sprint back to

TF_steve rThere’s no point them trawling the boot sales as stuff nicked down here is straight up the M1 and vice versa – the police will tell you that as well!
These aren’t opportunists or druggies but part of organised crime gangs alongside pirate DVD’s and the like which in turn provide the funds for the drugs trade. -

TF_JohnHSorry to hear this but the conclusion is quite clear, make sure you are insured. The chances of this gear being recovered is close to nil. The police just dont have the resource and the thieves allways seem to be streets ahead.
Even when caught sentences do not deter, and its getting worse. -

TF_FBluesLike with some tackle items, Korda appear to have broken the mould of tackle insurance.

TF_herbielol mick did they push her there. question did we have this level of theiving before the eastern block country,s joined the E/U. the school where i reside is used as a cash machine. if you leave even a watering can out its gone next morning. i ask that question because i cant remember our lazy layabouts bothering with such petty crime. fishing tackle has a poor resale value unless your in the know.

there are many forms of theft.
Bradford City council tax payers are having their money stolen from them.
