TF_GLEBE1Chinagraph pens, white one for marking your pole and a black one for writing on the side of winders.

TF_andynorth2003ParticipantI use tippex, but agree that its a pain to get off.
Every now and again, once I get too many marks on my kits, I use white spirits on a bit of kitchen roll to wipe it off.Tried chinograph pencils, but didnt like the white.
Black for winders is perfect, as it will wipe off if you want to change the details. -

TF_DanJonesI’ll let you into a secret. Spray a blob of furnitire polish onto a duster and lightly rub off the tipex and you’ll be amazed how easily it comes off. I use Mr Sheen.

cjsidParticipantI use a short length of no 10 elastic tie a small loop trim then slip over pole kit you can slide up or down as you want, you can even put more than one to mark more than one depth.Never had one slip either.

TF_Irk the puristsGet along to Home Bargains and pick up a packet of Masterpiece Oil crayons for 89p, they work really well and you can even mark your large sections with them, won’t wipe of until you want them to…..

Never had a problem. Put on a good thick blob and it pops straight off when you scratch it with your fingernail. -

TF_endpegGot given some Galvsafe galvanizing safe steel marker pens and now use these instead of a chinagraph pencil. They go on like a yellow marker pen, dry well but you can wipe them off easily afterwards. This link isnt the exact one but a similar kind of thing:

TF_NathanWatsonJust scrape it off with the blunt edge of a pair of scissors, easy! Tried chinagraph pencils and thought they were crap!

TF_endpegThose galvanising pens are just like a tippex pen but no scratching off required, just a damp cloth/finger – but it also doesnt come off accidentally while fishing.
