Toft Farm Carp Lake

Anyone have any up to date info on the carp lake please as im there sunday on the island pegs

Not been up since last year in the summer when i was beat with 158lb,have the fish grown on much more or they still around the 2lb mark

Any info would be great thanks

carp lake is fishing well , probably need ton to win as long as it dont go too cold next couple of nights.

I was there last week for a practise on feeder fishing , fished tight to island with small 30g method feeder loaded with 50 / 50 mix of sonu method mix and soaked 2mm pellet and fished a 6mm hard pellet in a band on hair rig , caught loads mate .

pole in margins works , but water is low so they dont stay long . best to fish 4 – 6 m just off the slope in deeper water , or 11 – 14 m in the real deep water . i would fish pellet or paste on hook , but if its hard , feed and fish maggot .

Yes keith its been a couple of years at least m8……

Thanks for the info and hopefully with all the rain we have had its filled up abit as it was very low last year…

Think the method will be the main attack if the weather is still crap and a 5m line…

Went yesterday with Daventry AC and drew peg 52 caught nowt upto 1pm when my lad declared he wanted to go home as he had a tear in his B&B and was wet and cold so
went home before the all out ..was not enjoying the day at all…At this time of year and weather Toft is not a venue I shall go to again, far too exposed to the elements..hats off to those that stayed and stuck it out I don’t know if you’re brave or mental.

As I packed away Mr Wills who had broken his pole and had caught decided to get his rod out and first chuck was into a fish…no justice in the world…fish just love him.
