had my trilogy for about 10months now ad have been quite happy with it except for one thing is it me or are they shite in the wind? Been doing alot on canals with it and it seems to really catch the wind and bend when others around me dont seem to be getting affected. Anyone else noticed this and anyone reccommend a pole that holds up well in the wind.Anyone used the new shimano aspire?

Mines better than my last two poles.a tourney pro and a G995.but arnt all poles crappy in wind. I can give you a list of poles that people will say are better that will snap real easy in a wind. Think about that and then think is your trilogy that bad.

Must admit I thought the same on the Maver festival last week it was hard work in the wind at 14.5m the Trilogy was bending one way with the wind and the other way with the tow due to the pole tip being under water but it held out the chap two pegs down wasn’t so lucky he had a Tournament number 7 fold.
On Bolingey I fished 0.22 silstar straight through and pulled carp to 12lb from brambles. Its probably the first time the pole has been abused in this way but I am reassured by its strength and balance.

had the trilogy since they first came out ,i thought they was a bit wippy in the wind if im honest with the long 3 on ,put the short 3 on and it makes a big difference imo, still strongest best balanced pole ive owned, tournys etc
