got a contest on Top pool in this week any info on baits and methods And average depth would be great.

top isnt fishing brilliant

the bowl at the top end of the lake usually wins it, peg 1,3,5, 33 (1 and 33 usually fliers but apparently hes been messing with the weeds and its affected them) its shallow up here 3-4 foot tops

micros, soft pellet and maggot,

rest of the lake is a bit deeper

Id just take it steady with the feed and fish pellet or maggot

aim for 35-50lb generally F1s around 6-1lb and a few better mirros / commons

Avoid peg 18 apprently its worst peg on the complex

deffo agree with the above post , but be aware , lots of small skimmers which can be a pain in the butt on maggot

I meant to say feed pellet and try maggot on the hook

as shallowman says, the skimmers can be a nightmare on peller so maggot could be a killer

having said that they are still catching well on bread shallow so dont go into winter mode just yet

on saturday they decided not to peg top pool because it wasnt fishing well, that says it all really
