Hi lads

I have a question, is the UK market interested in the 13m packages with top 5 or is all about 16m poles? :confused:
Would anybody own a second pole which is not 16 m long but only 13m long from the same kind?

At the highest level match anglers want 16m pole packages. But there’s still a big market for shorter poles – 14.5m, 13m, 11m etc…

Buying a 13m package with spare 5th sections is a good option, if you have a 16m pole that is the same. It gives you lots of spares, including those expensive larger sections. Even better if you fish rivers, the extra top fives would be very useful.
But to buy a 13m pole that is not compatible with a 16m version would not be for me, I am sure anglers would want a decent 13m pole and plenty of sections if the price was right.

Janos, the last two poles I have bought ,x5000′ and senses 764 are both 13 mt,i know quite a few anglers who will not buy 16 mt packages

I would go for a 13 m version as a spare for my 16 m pole if it came with spare No5s. As it is I end up geting 2 x 16 m versions and still have to buy 3 or 4 more No 5 sections

I suppose it all boils down to the type of waters you fish, for example there is more mileage in buying a 13m package with spare top 5’s if you fish a lot of deep rivers rather that commercials

Hi Janos,easy answer to that one.A competetive match angler imo needs a 16Mt pole(at least).Having said that there are loads of anglers who dont need to use them, who would buy a 13Mt package or even less.

I have a good 16m pole but as all of my fishing is on commercials if i,m not going to fish longer than 9m i always use my Black Magic, still wins me plenty of money, alot of anglers will have a 16m pole and never even go past 13m.

I have bought a Maver 501 13m pole from janos with 4 top5s and it was first class deal for pole price and quality.
