Any advice on best deals on van Insurance. (social, domestic & pleasure cover.
        Not business).
        Thanks Andy.

from experience it’s hard if not impossible to get van insurance for domestic use only, they seem to think anyone with a van wants it for business

100% agree. I wasted 3hrs of my life trying to explain to various insurance companies that my van is purely for my weekend hobby. As said above, many companies advertise ‘non-commercial’ van insurance but trying to take out such a policy is a different story.

Only advice I can give is to make sure your NCB earnt on a private car policy can be used on a ‘commercial’ policy, some companies honour it, some don’t….and I found out the expensive way.

I used to use a broker to insure my car when I was a student nurse in Birmingham many years ago and they are still going strong and recently helped me out with quoting for a Scirocco for a customer: £7,500 from a company in London, much more realistic £1,400 from them!

Website is pants but give them a call.

              Google Pennington Insurance.

I got my van insurance from http://www.ivaninsurance.co.uk 🙂

They were really good. I’d had a bang up the year before and the insurer I was with then wanted to up my premiums loads!

These guys were pretty cheap 🙂

                Cheers!
