What a brilliant Charity raiser……..I think this is going to be a great advertisment for our “Old Father Thames”.Not only for the people who are lucky enough to live near it,but to the many who are miles from our largest and most famous waterway.
Walliams starts his 140 mile journey on Monday(5th Sept) morning at 9am from Lechlade, and hopes to get out of the water at the Houses of Parliament 8 days later. He has raised millions on other huge swims(Channel),but he has said that this really is a momentous challenge,as his time in the water will be very dangerous.
I for one will be watching him from the banks in the Richmond area when he passes, and i hope there are many who live nearby the Thames who will also have the time to not only cheer him on,but to donate to the Charity.
I WISH HIM WELL AND ALL THE BEST.
