TF_Matt LoveI’m in the market for a pole and here is an idea of what I am looking for:
A decent Daiwa from mid-range up to a Tourney Pro
A decent MAP from Definition up to Parabolix STI
A Browning Z9
One of them new Middy XK55 thingies.
Will consider other poles if the price is right.
I need a good package especially if the pole is no longer available so at least 6 top kits and at least 4 of them need to be power kits.
Preferably 1 or 2 short 4’s and a spare long 4 plus cupping kit.
I’m not interested in repaired sections unless they are supplied as spares, there must be a complete perfect pole in the package.
I am happy to have short top kits so don’t worry if you have cut them right back.
Looking to spend a few hundred quid on a 2nd hand pole (the better the package and condition the more I will pay) or might stretch to buying one of them Middy poles if the price is right.
I am in Kent but can travel a bit.
Please send a PM if you have anything.
Cheers, Matt.

TF_lumpnathan watson was selling a Z9 on here, also, the Z7 can be found for £999 now, you don’t mention a budget but i think that’s a good buy. (my dad’s got one and it’s not far behind my Z9 in all honesty.

TF_Matt LoveThanks, I saw Nathan’s ad somewhere else and he was asking £1500 which is too much.
If the Z7 is £999 then I would prefer the new Middy at about £1100.
My budget for a 2nd hand pole is flexible dependant on the quality and package.

TF_Matt LoveHi Dan.
You’ve only used the pole 3 times but it only comes with 4 top kits and the 16m section is not new and has been used more?
Could you please explain more about the pole’s history?
Thanks.

TF_Dan1982Due to sponsorship I had the pole as a spare from number 4 section to 14.5m with a cupping kit. Alternatively I have a 774 that is 2 years old and well used for 400 quid with the same spares or the 2 for 1400 quid and would chuck another couple of top kits in.

TF_Matt LoveThanks guys, the Carboxy is not a pole I know and it’s obsolete I think so will be hard to sell on.
Dan, how bad is the used 774 and is it ok for bagging on doubles down the edge?

TF_mickeymMatt the 774 is strong, perfect for your type of fishing. Shannons.

TF_Matt LoveCheers Mickey, I was talking to Jeff at WMA the other day about the new Middy and told him it’s either that or a 2nd hand pole.
Dan, where do you live and what’s the older pole like?
Cheers.

TF_Dan1982Matt it is well used, no 6 is new though. Having thought about it I would rather sell these 2 poles as a complete package then the buyer is having a brand new 14.5m pole and a spare 16m pole which for 1400 quid is a good deal in my opinion.
I am in Birmingham so a bit of a mission from yourself, however I will be at the big one show next week in farnborough.

TF_lumpthe carboxy gold is a newer model i think, came in after the Z9, nice pole if it’s the one i looked at and am thinking of. PS, still think you should look at a Z7. £999 at a few places.
