what is the best up in the water pole float

  a pea style float with a wire stem, either Wilko or Ackoo’s are both great 😀

  I find most carp venues ( not f1s ) the bigger fish are wise to slapping and often bolt when you move the pole.Gave it in years ago and am very rarely beaten when fishing shallow.

  I have to agree with that statement, im by no means a master but I have noticed I do better without slapping, I think its buggers up your pole too doesnt do the joints any good.
