It’s a silver fish festival (well it was last year) & doesn’t carry the Veterans tag. I think the first day was monday. On past history, as it carries little kudos, it gets no reporting or publicity. Lets see what happens when the current leading lights get old!!!
          Regards Peter.

4 Day Festival, lasdt day is today.

Mal Proctor is winning by 1 point; I think Harry Billing is second.

The venue is fishing hard by the sounds of things, all lakes have very little colour following a few frosts.

                Are you sure????

The VETERANS FESTIVAL is known as just that.

The silver fish festival is later in the month!!

Maybe wrong tho… i am usually!

What do you mean Spotter1707, the current bunch of old boys have no pedigree? Lol

I have heard that Mal Procter has won the Vetrans festival (It’s Carp allowed on some lakes and silvers only on the others, everyone fishes all sections)

Harry Billing (Another angler with no kudos!!) was second.

Sorry not sure who was third but Andy Partridge was fourth.

The venue has fished hard but fair. Well done to those old boys, I will be joining you next year!

Correct Simon, well nearly! The next festival is the Winter festival (used to be called silver fish) The one just finished always has been the vetrans. (Not a play on words honest!)

I stand corrected, but I don’t think it receives the coverage of the other festivals! It used to be held the week up to easter friday, but was changed to the present date. Unfortunately this date change does not suit me so i cannot attend.
In no way did I wish to infer that the anglers fishing this festival were inferior, after all I fished it myself a couple of times (pools fodder)! Mal Procter & Andy Partridge both fished then also.
