Wonkerscramp, Dont know the backing weights ! I believe Mark Harrington won Johns with 15ib odd.. I believe the top 3 or 4 were all in a row.. Fished hard and the likes of Steve Gardner even struggled for a few bits..

dishyfish i only asked for the weights out of interest,?? obviously there was a split fractions match one for the rich and one for the poor shame they couldnt fish as one ????? you would think the fishery would answer my simple question how else will they get it back in the limelight without posting the weights ????? all these questions and no answer such a shame maybe mr simms doesnt need any more money ????? 😎 😎

Apologies PTB, that was meant as tounge in cheek !! All I can tell you, was Mr pearson match on Pittance “not a secret squrriel match” has he asked around the anglers fishing the week before who wanted to fish ! Took up the allocated 12 places.. I dont have all the weights and pegs.. John Radford who runs the matches is not on this forum. And I was not fishing, so its upto the anglers, on this forum who fish those matches to post if they want to !!!

Brian in this case I dont think there was a split !! One wanted to fish a carp match, the other a silver match…

Johns lake, all I know is what I posted yesterday !! I will find out all the weights needed tomorrow, and will post on here in the evening…

Pikey had a match on Johns lake the Sunday before.. And after that match, he asked paul if he could have pittance lake the following week.. He asked around and got 12 names straight away.

Pikey would put weights up as would MTB, but either have not been on this site for a while.. I think Pikey has started his blog again, so I’m sure the Pittance match will get a mention then.. I can’t get the results for the Johns match, apart from 15ib odd from one of pegs in the wides won..

So unless someone who fishes these matches puts the weights ect up, they wont get posted.. Heard the match on New lake today fished by 9 anglers was won with 40ib odd, but what happens with this lake in winter alot ! Was that the fish were balled up and the peg which won seemed to be the case.19ib coming 2nd…… I’m on that lake Sunday so I will let you know how it went…

Toplights you know what that lake is like this time of year.. Its all in the draw !! Some will struggle and some will catch a few and think they are the best anglers in the world lol 😀 😀

Wouldn’t say it was Rich and Poor Brian, more like Braindead and Sensible imo.There was even three people who wouldnt fish New Lake at £27 last Sunday(to patchy),i wish now i’d been one of em.When trying to get anglers to return in numbers it isn’t a help to inflate prices,especially when a fishery is so out of form.Most of us 25 year men think its a crying shame to see Willys deterioration.

Their is so much potensial at willy it un real, i think it needs an investment of revenue to buy a few more fish (small fish) eg 2lb carp, skimmers roach, just something to catch in between carp. At the end of the day we all go fishing to get bites. Fish that feed most year round are whats needed. All the F1 carp in Horshoe need to be taken out and used, at the moment their are not many matches on that lake yet their are 1000’s of fish in their, maybe transfere them into a lake where they will get more use. 🙂 🙂

I think most of the F1s have allready been removed from H/shoe Diawa Pro.I dont think the owner will be investing in fish any time soon. :rolleyes: To be honest i dont think they care,the owners know that when the summer comes round the Carpers and the pleasure fishermen will return,and they dont complain, and are quite happy to pay their money and catch a couple of fish.I cant see the logic in virtually ignoring the anglers(mostly matchmen)that keep em ticking over in the winter.No wonder numbers are dropping off. 🙁
