        I would like to congratulate Dean Barlow from Drennan North West team on smashing the Welsh Winter League match record with 193lb 15oz. He was on Alice lake at Hampton Springs.

              Previous record was held by Chris Smith from rod n reel. 104lb taken from island pool on Heronbrook last year.

                Don`t want to blow my own trumpet but i won a Winter League semi @ Gold Valley a couple of years back with 147lb :rolleyes: now if that was the record i`m well happy to have my record broke by Boris 😀 😉

                  The post is just about the Welsh winter league record not all the winter leagues, just an observation!!
                  Im sure other league’s will have had big weights.

                    Ooops thanks red angler i must learn to read. :rolleyes: Never even occured to me that Drennan North West were in the Welsh Winter League.
                    I must point out that the thread heading said “Winter League record”. As you said thinking about it there are many leagues that fish Commercials for example the Kent league fish Monk lakes, got to be some big weights from there.

                      Chris, a sign of the times Drennan being in Welsh league, im also in the Welsh league & live in Cheshire!! As league’s fold we all move onto the next available league.
