        Afternoon all,

i have been away from the site for a while due to work commitments.

I was wondering if any of you had any info on Woodlands at Thirsk?

I will have sent off for the club angler northern qualifier in May as the format has changed this year.

Any info would be most helpfull.

        Thanks in advance

It’s going to change so much between now and then Galps, it’s very hard going up there just now if the results are anything to go by and it’s also a lottery as the same pegs appear to be framing time and time again ( no shit) !!!
Come spring time there will be plenty of fish on the short pole as they move into the margins to spawn. My advice would be to start going up there from late March onwards so you are bang in touch with the venue, there is no better way if your serious about qualifying ???
PS: it will still be peggy, it always is so no matter how much homework you do you will still need to draw, not a problem for you, right :p

            Chris,

            Hope you are well,

we didn’t say that you couldn’t fish the opens leading up to it. we have no problem with that as we know the lads will be keen to qualify and the opens are the best way to practice if that is what you want to do. so just to clarify you can fish the opens leading up to the qualifier.

any more questions, dont hesitate to contact me directly.

            Joe

Think Chris is saying if you practise on the opens, dont win or you may not be eligable for the GCAOTY !

                Thanks for the feedback chaps.

My drawing arm has eluded me at the moment i have to say!

I will be going up their starting at the end of March with my travelling partner to fish a few opens etc.

I did qualify for the final last year and was doing well until halfway through the match, aftyer that it just died on me!

Hoping to qualify again and looking forward to the final at Lindholme!

I amy even see some of the entrants for the GCAOTY at the opens?

                LOL!!!!
