Go Fishing Show 2006, Europe’s largest fishing show, will be casting off at Birmingham’s NEC from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th of March. This year’s show will cover the four core disciplines; Coarse, Carp, Sea and Game fishing, and with over 200 exhibitors and 150 live demonstrations, Go Fishing Show 2006 promises to have something for everybody.

 

With an emphasis on reeling in some of the young fisherman of the future, this year’s Go Fishing Show will be brimming with interactive live demonstrations by some of the world’s most famous anglers, encouraging the next generation to pick up a rod! There will be a number of interactive Q&A forums with some of the most knowledgeable experts in the industry, giving youngsters an insight and allowing the more mature angler to test their fishing knowledge against the true professionals. And with over 250 exhibitors displaying the very latest fishing equipment and fashions from the industry’s biggest brand names Go Fishing Show 2006 will be a fantastic day out for all the family.

 

5,000 fish, 90 tonnes of sand and over 150,000 gallons of water will transform the NEC into 25,000 fishermen’s ultimate fantasy island. The outdoor Pendigo Lake will be manned by experts from the Professional Anglers Association (PAA) who will be offering free casting lessons to novices of all ages, while the show’s flagship feature, Angling Times Live, will be playing host to some of the country’s top fishermen including, Steve Ringer, Bob Nudd, Martin Bowler and Mark Sawyer, publicly demonstrating their techniques and tips.

 

One of the most intriguing attractions will be the Angling Times ‘Advanced Tip Academy’ where a  giant indoor tank will be elevated to ‘fish eye level’ allowing spectators to watch and study the fish’s reaction to various techniques. Running the Advanced Academy and answering questions will be angling experts Alan Scotthorne, Jamie Masson, Grant Albutt and Stuart Conroy.
