The NFSA has announced that Gregory Carlson, aged 15 and from Teignmouth SAS
is the new Junior Angler of the Year.
Gregory was picked from over 20 junior anglers who had, following nomination
by their club, responded by writing a letter stating why they should be
considered and explaining what they did for their club and fellow juniors.
Gregory will receive his award, which will consist of the NFSA Junior Tray,
donated by Mrs Maureen Craddock, a Special Certificate, Tackle worth £100
and a coaching session by one of the new NFSA Sea Angling Coaches.
Chris Wagstaff, 15, of
Torbay and Babbacombe ASA was nominated in second
place, while Craig Hopkins, 13, of Lymington & District finished third.
Daniel Harvey, aged 12, also of Lymington & District was highly commended,
who despite a personal disability plays a full part in his club¹s
activities.
