REPORT

MOLANDS   The afternoon sessions/matches have been providing the best sport with carp and F1’s feeding well later in the day.  During the day, a feeder to the island is catching on long pole with pellet or caster.  During the evening, fish to any near feature with maggot, meat or corn and big F1’s to 6lb and carp to double figures will turn up.  Best pegs are 2, 8, 15, 29 – 33, 41 – 48 and 60.

GEARYS   It has been quiet on the carp front but the skimmers have been feeding well with nets to 50lb caught this week including bream to 5lb.  Pole fished worm/caster or pellet is the best tactic but a small cage feeder is also worth a try.  Carp to double figures have featured in nets to 70lb+ or straight lead and pellet but the carp are patchy at the moment.  Top pegs are 9 – 13, 16, 19 – 21, 27 and 31.

LITTLE GEARYS   A little more consistent this week with lots of 40 – 50lb catches being caught with the odd bigger weights to nearly 100lb.  F1’s providing the main action but crucians, carp and skimmers are also showing.  Short pole and caster or maggot is the top tactic but shallow pellet is also starting to catch.  Best pegs are 1 – 9, 15 – 19 and 26 – 29.

GRATUITIES   Plenty of carp are being caught in the 3 – 6lb range with pellet waggler accounting for the better nets.  Good mixed catches of crucians, skimmers and roach with the odd carp and tench are coming to pole fished pellet or caster.  Best pegs are 1 – 4, 8, 9 and 15.

WILLOW   Carp and F1’s are showing in numbers again this week with waggler or a small method/pellet feeder fished tight to the island the best tactic.  Top pegs are 1 – 5, 6, 11 and 13.

SIBLINGS A   Being shallow, the colder nights have affected sport but nets to 40lb have been caught of carp, F1’s and die.  Pole with meat or pellet fished tight up to the island is the top tactic but anglers fishing intro the evenings have found the margins productive.

SIBLINGS B   Lots of F1’s, small carp and the odd double figure carp are coming to pole fished pellet or maggot.  Best pegs are from 5 round the point to 11.

ANNIVERSARIES   This pool is much better now with good mixed nets of F1’s, small carp, roach, ide, and the odd big bream or tench.  Pole fished maggot is working best but pellet, caster and corn are also catching a few fish.  Best pegs are 1 – 3, 6, 8, 12, 17 and 21 – 23.
