REPORT

MOLANDS   Molands has been very good throughout the week with 100lb+ winning weights and many good back up catches.  The carp are showing best with fish to 15lb+ being caught and lots around the 6 – 8lb mark coming to the method feeder fished tight across to the island or down the near margin with corn or worm fished over ground bait.  F1’s, skimmers, tench and crucians are also showing in good numbers and for a nice mixed net you cannot beat the paste fished down the first shelf at the moment.  Top pegs are 2, 8 – 10, 15, 27 – 29, 33, 35, 43 – 48 and 55 – 60.

GEARYS   Gearys was in great form at the start of the week with weights to 140lb recorded in the Tuesday evening match but as the weather cooled, sport dropped off a little.  Bomb and pellet, method feeder or down the margins with worm, meat or dead maggot have been the best tactics.  Top pegs have been 6, 9, 15, 18 – 20, 27 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS   This pool is still very consistent with good fishing to be had on every peg.  Carp to 12lb, F1’s to 4lb and plenty of skimmers and crucians showing this week in nets to 100lb.  Pellet or method feeder fished to the island with small pieces of meat or banded hard 4mm pellet has been working well along with shallow pole and pellet at 13 metres.  Top pegs 5, 7, 10, 12, 19 and 21 and 29.

GRATUITIES    Carp to double figures are coming to surface fished baits.  Lots of carp in the 2 – 4lb bracket along with tench and crucians coming to corn, meat or pellet fished tight into the margins.  A small feeder to the island is also producing good nets.  Best pegs are 1 – 4, 8 – 11 and 15.

WILLOW   Pellet waggler fished up to the island is working well for carp and F1’s.  Good mixed nets caught on long pole and pellet and in the evening, fished down the margins on corn or paste.  Best pegs 1, 3, 5, 6, 9 and 11.

SIBLINGS A & B   Fishing really well with carp and tench showing on all pegs.  Float fished corn or pellet fished over micros either short around the platforms or tight to the island are the best tactics on both pools.

REEDY BAY/FIRST BAY/CRESCENT/ALDER   These small pools are fishing really well at the moment and are ideal for children.,  Float fished corn, pellet or meat are accounting for excellent catches on all of these pools.
