REPORT

MOLANDS   During the early part of the week the Fishery was in excellent form with F1’s, carp and skimmers showing in numbers all around the pool.  The cooler nights towards the weekend slowed the action a little but good nets were still made at the weekend.  Catches to over 100lb including carp to 15lb have been made this week.  Fishing down the margins with corn, worm or pellet fished over ground bait has been the top tactics with method feeder also worth a try as well.  Top pegs are 2, 8, 10, 13, 19, 25 – 29, 43 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS   Match weights to over 90lb have been best this week and the cooler nights have probably affected the fishing on Gearys more than the other pools.  Carp to 18lb have been caught in matches this week with boilies or pellet fished on the bomb the best tactic.  Later in the day, margin fishing with corn or worm have accounted for some good nets as well.  Best pegs have been 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 27, 31, 32 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS   This is still the most consistent pool on the Fishery with match weights to over 90lb this week and good back up weights from all areas.  Pole and pellet fished on the deck or shallow at 10 – 14 metres or down the margins with dead maggot, pellet or corn have been the best tactics.  Top pegs 5, 7 – 12, 15, 17, 21 and 27 – 30.

GRATUITIES    A small feeder fished to the island has been the top tactic with carp in the 2 – 4lb bracket responding well to small baits such as 4mm banded pellet or dead maggot.  The better carp are coming to floating baits and fish to 15lb have been caught on dog biscuit.  Top pegs 1 – 5, 9, 11 and 13.

WILLOW   Pellet waggler or pellet feeder fished across to the island is the best approach for carp and F1’s.  Plenty of silvers and crucians to be had on caster or expander pellet fished down the middle.  Top pegs 1, 5, 6, 8 and 11.
