REPORT

MOLANDS   The afternoons are best with the F1’s showing well down the margins and later in the day with caster or maggot fished over ground bait accounting for nets to 100lb+.  Waggler and pellet fished across to the island is the best tactic for carp with fish to double figures coming to this.  Top pegs are 8 – 13, 21 – 25, 29 – 33 and 44 – 48.

GEARYS   The very cold nights over the weekend saw sport drop and it knocked the carp off the feed.  The best approach is to fish for the skimmers and bream with long pole and pellet or maggot fished over ground bait working for nets to 40lb.  Carp are being caught but a bomb and pellet/bread approach is the way to go.  Top pegs are 9 – 13, 19, 27, 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS   Although no big weights were caught off Little Gearys this week lots of nets to around 50lb featured with F1’s and skimmers providing the bulk of the action.

GRATUITIES   Showed good form this week with carp nets to 100lb and cracking nets of crucians and skimmers to 40lb+.  The carp are showing to pellet waggler and pole with meat down the edges and mixed nets are coming to pole with caster or maggot.  Best pegs are 1, 6,

8 – 11, 15 and 16.

WILLOW   There were a few good nets caught by pleasure anglers fishing pellet waggler and catching F1’s and carp to 4lb.  Generally though the fishing has been a little harder than of late and more restrained feeding tactics are required with pellet or corn the best baits.

SIBLINGS A   During the middle of the week with the warmer weather, Siblings A was in good form with carp, F1’s and ide showing all around the pool to pole and pellet/meat.  As the colder nights set in towards the weekend it fished harder and maggot was the best bait.

SIBLINGS B   The most consistent pool at the moment with F1’s, carp and a few tench and crucians showing.  Pole and pellet is the top tactic but on the wider pegs a small feeder fished tight to the far side can be affective.

ANNIVERSARIES   In the best form for a while with the fish now spread around the pool.  F1’s, decent sized bream, tench and carp are being caught with pole fished pellet, corn or caster all accounting for decent nets.  Top pegs 1 – 3, 6, 10, 14 – 17 and 23.
