FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS Fished very well this week with match weights to over 140lb and carp to over 20lb caught. The bigger carp are coming to bomb and pellet or boilies fished tight across to the island during the day and down the margins with pellet or corn in the evenings. Lots of decent sized F1’s are showing to pole and pellet shallow or pellet waggler. Top pegs have been 2, 8, 10 – 15, 19, 25, 29, 41 – 46 and 57 – 60.

GEARYS Fished really well during the week but slowed a little at the weekend. Match weights to over 110lb have been caught and lots of double figure fish showing. Bomb and pellet is the main tactic at the moment but edge fishing is starting to really come into its own with corn fished over hemp or micros working well. Top pegs are 1, 6, 9, 13, 18 – 23, 27, 31, 34 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS Always consistent, the fishing has been very good all around the pool with F1’s, carp, skimmers and crucians feeding well. Pole fished pellet either shallow or on the deck has been the top tactic. Pellet or method feeder fished to the island is also producing good nets. Top pegs 3, 7, 11, 15, 21, 23, 26 – 29.

GRATUITIES The corner pegs 1, 8, 9 and 16 at the end of the pool have been the best form with corn, meat, pellet or worm fished close is working best for carp to 6lb, tench, skimmers and barbel. Along the straights, a small waggler with corn or meat fished up to the island is accounting for good nets.

ANNIVERSARIES Lots of F1’s being caught on pole and pellet fished at 8 – 10 metres or just under your feet. Tench to 5lb have also fished a bit more and corn seems to be the best bet for them. Best pegs are 2 – 6, 15 and 16.

WILLOW Fished really well this week with lots of carp being caught from 2 – 6lb with surface baits catching plenty of fish along with paste down the margins. F1’s are also showing in good numbers with a small pellet waggler fished tight up to the island giving best results.
