MATCHES WILL RESUME ON DECEMBER 2nd.

FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS The much colder weather saw sport dip and become a little more patchy but decent nets were still being caught this week. Carp to 15lb, F1s to 7lb and some quality silver fish have been caught. Top tactics have been pellet feeder to the island with wafters or punched bread, maggot feeder fished down the middle or pole fished pellet or maggot. Best pegs have been
1 – 4, 13 – 17, 25 – 29, 43 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS Carp to 18lb have been caught but it has definitely slowed down over the last week with the frosts affecting sport. Bomb with PVA Bag and punched bread, 8mm pellet or boilies have accounted for catches of up to 10 carp with the high bank and the far side the better areas at the moment. Good nets of silver fish with plenty of skimmers and roach being caught on caster, maggot or worm and the deeper water along the high bank is best for mixed nets.

LITTLE GEARYS It has been very patchy this week, one day fishing ok and the next very poor. On the better days, nets of up to around 70lb have been caught, made up mainly of F1s but the odd decent sized carp also featuring. Bomb or waggler with maggot or pellet, either at
13 – 15 metres or down the margins later in the day. Most consistent pegs have been 5 – 13 and 25 – 30.

GRATUITIES The water has gone clear and it is making it a little difficult on Grats at the moment. Bomb and bread or wafter with bread is accounting for a few carp up to double figures. Maggot or caster on the pole will give plenty of bites fished long down the middle of the pool.

ANNIVERSARIES The open water on pegs 6, 15 – 19 and 21 – 23 has been the most consistent. A small maggot or pellet feeder with dead reds or expander is working best for F1s to 4lb and the odd carp.

SIBLINGS A Really tough fishing at the end of the week with the frosts making the water go really clear. Dobbing bread across has caught carp and F1s against any outstanding features. Pole with maggot over ground bait is also working.

SIBLINGS B A little more consistent than the other pools with plenty of F1s being caught on pole with pellet or maggot. Dobbing bread or corn across to the far bank is sorting out a few of the better sized carp.
