REPORT

MOLANDS   The fishing has improved over the last week with match weights to over 80lb and pleasure bags exceeding that.  F1’s and carp have provided the best of the action with shallow pole and pellet or a pellet feeder with boilies or meat on the hook the top tactics.  The wind has been blowing from the north for quite a while pushing the fish down to the far end of the pool and pegs 10 – 21, 25 – 33 and 41 – 48 have been the best areas.

GEARYS   A little patchy at times but match weights to nearly 100lb have been caught this week and some cracking carp are being caught.  Alan Hancox weighed two for 36lb during the Bank Holiday open and there are lots of doubles coming out.  The top tactics have been straight lead and pellet or method feeder with pellet or meat.  Best pegs are 1, 4, 9 – 15, 19, 20, 27 – 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS   The early pegs from 1 – 12 have been in the best form with F1’s, carp and skimmers showing well.  Method feeder fished tight to the island with meat or small boilies, long pole and pellet fished shallow or meat down the margins have all been working well.

GRATUITIES   The crucians are feeding well on Gratuities with nets to 50lb of fish from 12oz – 1lb coming to pole with expander pellet fished over micros.  The carp are showing best on the corner pegs with fish from 2 – 6lb featuring in catches on meat or corn fished own the edge.

ANNIVERSARIES    Fishing very well for mixed nets of skimmers, crucians, F1’s,
tench and small carp.  Float fished pellet, corn, caster and maggot are producing lots of bites with all areas producing well.

SIBLINGS   The carp anglers are enjoying great success on boilies or meat fishing tight up to the reed beds with plenty of fish coming out.  Mixed nets of tench, crucians and skimmers coming to corn or pellet fished across micros or ground bait.

WILLOW   Always very popular, Willow has been in good form with carp, F1’s, skimmers and crucians all showing in numbers.  For mixed catches, fish the pole at 8 – 12 metres with pellet or caster.  Big carp tend to come out later in the day fishing meat, paste or pellets down the near margin.
