REPORT

MOLANDS    Fished well this week with match weights to over 60lb and fish being caught from all areas.  Carp are being caught on method feeder or pellet feeder with meat or pellet on the hook and fish to over 13lb were weighed in during matches.  The F1’s and skimmers have been going well to pole fished pellet or chopped worm and caster fished at 6 – 10 metres on the pole.  Best pegs are 1 – 4, 10 – 13, 27 – 29, 41 – 48 and 58 – 60.

GEARYS   The milder weather saw sport improve things this week with carp showing all around the pool.  Method feeder with meat, pellet or polony on the hook is the top tactic but some good catches also coming to the long pole with pellet or caster.  The areas with a bit of ripple have been best with pegs 13 round to 21 in particularly good form this week.

LITTLE GEARYS    Much improved this week with the F1’s showing really well with skimmers, roach and a few carp to back them up.  Shallow pole and pellet have accounted for some of the better catches with short pole with pellet and caster also working well.  The best pegs have been 7 – 14, 21, 24 – 27.

GRATUITIES    The far side fished best through the week with carp to 8lb and tench providing the bulk of the catches.  Pole and pellet fished close in or a small pellet/method feeder fished to the island has been working best.  Top pegs are 9 – 15.

ANNIVERSARIES    A few double figure carp have been caught from the top end with meat accounting for the bigger samples.  Plenty of skimmers, roach, perch, crucians and the odd tench or carp are coming to pole fished caster or maggot.  Best pegs are 1 – 3, 6, 9, 10, 17 and 23.

WILLOW    Pegs 5 and 6 giving great sport for carp between 1 and 5lb and tench to 3lb.  Float fished corn or pellet working best on these pegs fishing right against the reeds.  Good mixed nets coming to long pole with caster or pellet on the other pegs.

SIBLINGS   Silver fish providing much of the action with them showing on just a couple of pegs with 1 and 12 producing fish to over 10lb.  Mixed nets catching on caster, maggot or pellet fished over ground bait.

RIVER BLYTHE   The rain through the week freshened up the river and the few anglers that tried it, reported decent catches.  Plenty of small chub between 4oz and 1lb coming to caster or bronze maggot with the bigger samples coming to bread flake.
