REPORT

MOLANDS In good form with big F1s to nearly 7lb showing in nets to over 70lb. Maggot feeder is the best tactic fished right across or down the middle. Long pole with maggot or pellet is also providing decent sport. Carp to double figures are coming to the straight lead or waggler fished tight up to the island. Best pegs are 1 – 4, 15, 21 – 31, 43, 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS Starting to really show signs of improvement with carp to 70lb and skimmer nets to over 40lb caught this week. The carp are coming to pole fished corn down the margins or a bomb with pellet or waggler. The skimmers are being caught on a ground bait feeder with maggot or caster or long pole with maggot/expander pellet. Best pegs were 9 – 13, 19 – 23 and 31 – 36.

LITTLE GEARYS Good consistent sport with lots of F1s, skimmers and small carp being caught from all around the pool. The top tactics are long pole with maggot or pellet fishing down the margins or a maggot feeder fished up to the island with nets to over 60lb coming to all of these approaches. Top pegs are 5 – 11, 15, 21 and 27 – 30.
GRATUITIES There have been some good nets of bigger bream with fish to 5lb coming to pole fished pellet, maggot or caster with pegs 6 – 9 offering the best chance and nets to 50lb of these were caught last week. On the other pegs, mixed nets to 30lb of roach, skimmers, tench, crucians and the odd bigger carp and tench have been caught to maggot or caster. Bomb and pellet are best for the bigger carp fished up to the island.

SIBLINGS A Still a little patchy but if you are on the fish it can be a bite a chuck with F1s, ide, skimmers and a few better sized carp showing. Pole fished maggot, caster or pellet fished out to the island is the best tactic with pegs 2, 5 and 13 – 21 the best areas.

SIBLINGS B In good form with every peg producing goods bags of F1s with ide, skimmers, carp and tench also showing. Pellet and maggot are the best baits with pole at 10 – 13 metres or even a small feeder.

ANNIVERSARIES The top end from pegs 1 – 8 and from 21 – 23 are the most consistent pegs and nets to over 50lb came from these areas last week with mainly F1s but some good sized bream and roach also making an appearance with float fished pellet, maggot, caster the best tactics.
