MOLANDS Fished well during the week but much more difficult as the wind turned from the east and a lot colder at the weekend. The top methods have been a ground bait/maggot feeder or long pole and maggot for F1s and mixed nets or bomb with bread fished tight to the island for carp. Best areas have been pegs
21 – 29, 42 – 48 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS A few carp are being caught on boilies or bomb with bread and fish to 18lb were reported last week. During the mild spell in the week, a few anglers fished for skimmers along the high bank and caught nets to around 20lb including fish to 4lb with pole fished maggot or caster fished over ground bait working best.

LITTLE GEARYS Pegs 7-15 along the far bank and 24-30 on the near side were the best areas last week with F1s to 5lb coming to pole fished maggot or expander pellet at 13 metres or a small maggot feeder fished across to the island. A few bigger carp are coming to bomb or waggler with punched bread.

GRATUITIES This pool is in good form for silvers in particular with nets of skimmers, decent roach and perch coming to maggot or pinkies fished down the middle. The carp are coming to bread dobbed along the margins or a wafter with bread.

SIBLINGS A Little patchy but if you are on the fish the fishing can be good, mainly F1s between 12oz – 3lb with the odd carp to double figures. Dobbing bread across to the island or pole fished maggot down the middle has worked best.

SIBLINGS B Pegs 7 – 17 has been the best area consistently producing decent nets with pellet or maggot on the pole working best.

WILLOW The most successful pool at the moment with carp to 10lb, F1s to 5lb and plenty of silvers being caught. Waggler with pellet or bread to the island and pole fished maggot have been the top tactics.

ANNIVERSARIES The open water from pegs 6, 15 – 17 and 19 – 23 has been best with lots of new F1s being caught on maggot feeder or fishing maggot or pellet.
