REPORT

MOLANDS    Although the weather has turned a little colder with a few good frosts this week, Molands has been in decent form with the carp having a go at the moment.  Pellet waggler or pellet feeder accounting for the better catches of carp with bags to 80lb+ and fish into double figures.  Long pole and pellet is working well for good nets of F1’s and skimmers feeding 4mm pellet and fishing an expander or a banded hard pellet.  Best pegs are 1 – 5, 10 – 17, 29, 42 – 46 and 54 – 60.

GEARYS   Gearys has been very patchy this week with winning weights to 60lb+ but some areas are very hard.  Pole fished corn or worm are accounting for the better catches fishing up to the features or long down the margins.  Pellet waggler or straight lead and pellet also catching a few carp.  The best areas have been along the high bank pegs 6 – 12 and pegs 16 – 20.

LITTLE GEARYS    Small method/pellet feeder fished to the island with hard pellet, expander or small bits of meat has been the top tactic, taking catches of F1’s and carp to 50lb+.  Long pole with pellet is also accounting for some good nets.  Fishing very fair with lots of 25lb – 35lb bags caught from all around the pool with the pick of the pegs being 5, 7, 11 – 15, 21 and 28.

GRATUITIES   Meat, corn or pellet, fished down the inside margin has been working well for carp, tench and skimmers and picking out the better sized fish.  Pole and caster or expander pellet fished at 8 – 12 metres is producing good catches of crucians, skimmers, roach and smaller tench but anglers doing this are catching steady all day.  Best pegs 1, 2, 6, 8, 11 and 15.

WILLOW    Plenty of skimmers, crucians and roach are coming to pellet or caster. The bigger fish have slowed and it has been a bit of a waiting game, fishing the feeder to the island or down the margin with corn or meat for carp up to double figures.  Best pegs are 1, 5, 6, 11 and 12.

ANNIVERSARIES   A few double figure carp came out early in the week to floating baits but as the weather turned cooler these fish have gone down.  Good mixed nets of skimmers, roach, tench, barbel and small carp are coming to caster, worm or pellet fished on the pole.  Best pegs 2, 6, 9, 10, 15, 17, 21 and 23.

CRESCENT   Carp to 10lb coming to corn or meat fished over pellet..
