FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS Fishing well in areas with the wind pushing the fish to the far end and pegs 12 – 25 and 43 – 54 have been the most consistent. Carp and F1s are making up nets to 170lb+ in matches with method feeder with meat or wafter still the best approach. Pole with pellet short or down the margins is also working well and on the less windy days waggler and pellet can be brilliant. Carp anglers have caught fish to 24lb this week with source boilies working well.

GEARYS Gearys has been in great form with lots of 100lb+ catches in matches and pleasure anglers are reporting bags to 200lb+. The best match tactics have been a bomb with 8mm pellet at around 30 metres, long pole feeding 4 or 6mm pellet and fishing a 6mm on a band or method feeder out to the middle stumps. Carp anglers have had fish to 22lb with fish flavoured boilies fished over a bed of particles the top approach. Pegs 7 – 13 and 18 – 31 have been the top areas.

LITTLE GEARYS A return to form on Little Gearys with nets to 240lb this week and shallow tactics working well again. Caster or pellet fished at 13 – 16m has caught well but method feeder to the island and down the margins with pellet, caster or meat have also produced big nets. Top pegs have been 7 – 13 and 21 – 29.

GRATUITIES It has been a quiet week on Grats but those that have fished it reported mixed nets of carp, F1s, tench, skimmers and crucians. Pole or waggler fished down the middle with caster, expander or hard pellet have caught nets to 50lb. Bomb with pellet up to the island is catching the bigger carp with fish to 15lb netted.

ANNIVERSARIES Consistent sport all around the pool with nets of F1s and small carp to 70lb+. Pole with pellet, caster or corn has been working best but pellet waggler or bomb with 6mm pellet has accounted for some decent nets as well.

SIBLINGS A Much better this week with nets to 100lb reported mainly made up with carp and F1s. Pole fished caster, dead maggot, paste and hard pellet, fished across to the island or down the margins has been the best approach. Top pegs have been 2, 5 and 15 – 21.

SIBLINGS B Like all the pools, sport has been good on Siblings B, with nets to 100lb+ of F1s coming out and the end of the point from pegs 5 – 10 has been the best area. Pellet, caster or pellet shallow and on the ‘deck’ have been the best tactics, but later in the day fishing tight into the margins can be very productive with paste or pellet.

WILLOW Nets to around 50lb best this week in the matches, so a little slower than usual, pole fished pellet shallow and on the ‘deck’ has been working, with waggler or feeder up to the island also worth a go.
