FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS Fished a lot better this week with the milder conditions early in the week. Match weights to around 90lb and carp to 18lb, F1s to 8lb, tench to 6lb and bream to 4lb were caught. In the matches bomb or waggler with pellet, small method or pellet feeder with wafters and pole with banded hard pellet have been the notable tactics Carp anglers were catching a few doubles with fish to 18lb on boilies fished to the island with pegs 2, 13 – 25 and 42 – 48 best for carp.

GEARYS The windy weather through the week made it a little tougher this week with match weights to around 40lb best. Method feeder or bomb with 8mm pellet were the best approach and later in the day a few fish were caught on corn fished down the edge. Carp anglers reported fish to 19lb on boilies fished out at range to the middle stumps.

LITTLE GEARYS Still a little patchy with nets to 40lb+ best and the straight banks from
5 – 13 and 27 – 30 have been the best areas. Maggot feeder, bomb with 6mm or bread pellet and pole with maggot/pellet have been the best tactics.

ANNIVERSARIES A lot of fish have been held up in the bay on pegs 7 – 9 with carp and F1s showing there caught on pole fished maggot or pellet. In the open water, a wafter or bomb with 6mm pellet has been working well for the F1s.

GRATUITIES The far side from pegs 9 – 15 has been in the best form with carp to 5lb, F1s, skimmers and roach showing to pole fished maggot/expander pellet or a small feeder fished tight to the island.

WILLOW Probably the most consistent pool at the moment with nets this week to around 40lb and most pegs are providing some sport. F1s and silver fish including some nice chub and ide were coming to maggots or pellet on the pole or waggler.

SIBLINGS A Fishing well with nets to 50lb of carp and f1s with long pole and pellet/ maggot on the deck or dobbing bread shallower the best tactics at the moment.

SIBLINGS B There have been plenty of bites with F1s from 1 – 4lb showing on most pegs in nets to around 50lb best. Maggot or expander pellet on the pole fished down the middle has been working best but also dobbing bread across to the far side.
