FISHING REPORT

MOLANDS A very cold week with ice forming on some days saw the fishing go much more difficult . Bomb and bread or waggler and pellet accounted for the better nets but pole with banded hard pellet or maggot also caught f1s and silvers. The best pegs have been from 1-12,23-29 and 48 -60

GEARYS The much colder weather all of the week saw sport very tough. The top tactic for carp was bomb/pellet or long pole with pellet both accounting for fish to 18lb and when it got colder bomb and punched bread worked better. Silver nets to over 25lb are still being caught with maggot or pinkies over groundbait the best approach.

LITTLE GEARYS Nets to over 45lb were best this week with F1s making up the better catches on pole and banded hard pellet or bomb with 6mm pellet. The odd bigger carp are still coming to bomb and bread or waggler and pellet up to the island or corn/maggot down the edges. Best areas have been along the straights on either side with pegs 7 – 15 and 23 – 29.

GRATUITIES Nice mixed nets coming to maggot or caster fished on the pole down the middle or waggler across to the island with f1s, skimmers, roach and chub showing on most pegs. Bomb with bread or dobbing bread along the margins has worked best for carp with fish to 10lb coming to this.

ANNIVERSARIES Fished really tough this week with the cold conditions making the water turn very clear . Pole fished maggot or banded hard pellet and bomb with wafter or bread were the best tactics. The open water on pegs 6-8 and 17 – 23 were the better pegs

SIBLINGS A Little patchy but when you are on the fish good nets were to be had, mainly of F1s to 4lb but a few decent carp still showing. Pole and maggot fished down the middle of the pool has been the best tactic but ‘dobbing’ corn or bread, were also picking up a few fish. The better pegs have been 2 -5 and 17 – 21.

SIBLINGS B With the water turning very clear it made the fishing really difficult and nets to around 20lb were best this week. Maggot or banded pellet fished down the track or dobbing punched bread has been the better tactics.

WILLOW Probably the most consistent pool at the moment with pegs 1-5 still producing . with carp to 12lb and f1s to 5lb being caught. Banded pellet, maggot or expander pellet on the pole fished down the middle or waggler and feeder to the island have been the best tactics.
