REPORT
MOLANDS The cooler weather with night frosts affected the fishing with the fish shoaling in some areas and making it very patchy. Match weights to over 120lb were caught with pegs around scarecrow point from 39-48 the most consistent area with carp to 20lb and big f1s coming out. Meat short or down the margins, waggler /bomb to the island with big pellets and caster shallow have all been catching. Carp anglers have had fish to 23lb on overnight sessions.
GEARYS Fished ok this week despite the lower temperatures with carp showing all around the pool. The biggest match weight of the week was caught by slapping pellets on the pole which is a sign that some warmer weather is on the way but bomb with pellet, long pole with 6mm pellet and method feeder have all accounted for decent catches.
LITTLE GEARYS. Match weights to over 120lb this week with decent back ups around the pool .The fish are following the wind and pegs with a breeze into them are definitely better than the calm areas. Meat is still the top bait but shallow caster and pellet are also working well at the moment with big f1s the main target but we have also seen a number of carp in the upper doubles range.
ANNIVERSARIES A little slower with the shallow water of annies not liking the frost and nets to around 50lb were best this week.
Pole fished meat, caster or expander pellet were best with pegs 6-10 and 14-17 the more consistent areas.
SIBLINGS A Carp to double figures and f1s to 6lb featured in nets to 60lb.Best pegs have been from 1-5 and 15-19 with pole fished corn ,paste, meat down the margins or caster shallow in the middle of the pool working best.
SIBLINGS B Nets to over 60lb this week with pole and pellet, caster, meat or paste all producing decent sport. Pegs 5-10 on the point have been the best area.
WILLOW Steady sport this week with carp and f1s showing all around the pool. Waggler or a small method to the isand and long pole with pellet or caster have been the best tactics.
