REPORT

MOLANDS The most consistent area has been around Scarecrow Point with pegs 42 – 48 producing good nets of F1s and a few big carp to 20lb. It has been patchy elsewhere around the pool but 2 – 8 and 56 – 60 have also seen some decent nets. Waggler with 8mm Pellet, maggot feeder, bomb and bread and short pole with maggot have all caught a few fish.

GEARYS Gearys is still a little tough but nets of carp to around 40lb (including fish to double figures) have been caught this week. Method feeder with wafter, pellet feeder and bomb with pellet/bread have all worked this week. Skimmers catches to 20lb are coming from the high bank with a small cage feeder and maggot/caster are working best for silver fish.

LITTLE GEARYS Like all the pools, the frost early in the week affected sport and nets to around 40lb were best. Bomb with bread, maggot feeder and long pole with maggot or pellet has been the best approach. Pegs 7 – 15 and 25 – 29 have been the most consistent.

ANNIVERSARIES The most consistent pool this week with nets of F1s and carp to 60lb being caught. Pole fished bread, pellet or maggot has been the best approach with maggot or pellet feeder also catching a few. Pegs 1 – 6 and 15 – 22 have been the top areas.

GRATUITIES Mixed nets of carp, skimmers, roach and perch are being caught on long pole over ground bait. Some better sized carp are being caught on bread dobbed around the pegs on the pole or waggler.

SIBLINGS A Fish are starting to show all around the pool with nets to 40lb made up of carp, F1s, ide and skimmers. Punched bread dobbed across to the far side or pellet fished down the middle or near margins have worked well.

SIBLINGS B Plenty of F1s in the 1 – 3lb range are being caught with bread punch, maggot or pellet on the pole working best. The best area has been from pegs 5 – 10.

WILLOW Carp to double figures and F1s to 4lb have been caught with waggler and pellet/bread or small pellet feeder fished across to the island the top tactic.
