MOLANDS Typical of Molands its been a little up and down this week but on the better days nets to over 100lb have been made. Method feeder with wafters, dead reds or a small banded pellet and bomb with 8 mm pellet have been the best approach fished tight to the island. Some decent carp coming to margin tactics late afternoon with fish to 20lb falling to worm or dead maggots fished over groundbait. Most consistent pegs have been 8-15,23-31 and 41-46.
GEARYS . Still the pick of the pools with carp showing on most pegs and there were plenty of 100lb + nets this week. Bomb and pellet or method feeder are the top tactics in matches but later in the day fishing down the margins with worm, corn or big pellets can be really good . Carp anglers are catching on the PVA bag and big pellet or boilies with fish to 22lb reported this week on this.
LITTLE GEARYS Fished really hard this week with nets to around 70lb best with the f1s really shutting up shop and the better catches have mainly been carp caught mugging or from down the margins. The most consistent pegs have been 3-7,13-21 and 25-29.
ANNIVERSARIES . Pole fished caster or pellet fished shallow or expander pellet, corn or dead reds fished over micros tight across to the features or down the margins has been the best approach but Pinging 6mm pellet and fishing the bomb or waggler over the top can be very effective as well.
SIBLINGS A Nets to over 110lb this week and generally shown decent form from all areas. Carp to 15lb and f1s to 6lb have featured with pole fished worm, maggot or pellet fished over micros either across to the island or down the margins working best.
SIBLINGS B . Fishing better with nets to around 100lb best made up of f1s from 2-4lbs showing along with some nice carp up to double figures. Pegs 5-12 have been the most consistent and pole fished maggot ,corn or banded hard pellet the best approach.
GRATUITIES The corner pegs 1,8,9,15 and 16 have still been best for carp with fish from 3-6lb showing well along with the odd bonus double figure fish and they are coming to corn, big pellet or worm fished over ground bait or micros. Nice mixed nets coming from all around the pool with skimmers, crucians,f1s and smaller carp with maggot or expander pellet working best.
WILLOW The better catches are being caught by fishing tight up to the island with a method feeder ,bomb with pellet or a small pellet waggler with carp to 10lbs and f1s to around 5lb making up the nets. All pegs are worth a go but 3,5 and 10 are the flyers at the moment.
