REPORT

MOLANDS In good form with carp to nearly 20lb, F1s to 7lb, tench to 5lb and bream to 3lb showing. The top match tactic has been to fish up in the water on caster shallow or pellet on the jigger and nets to 180lb have fallen to this. The bigger carp are coming to bomb with boilies/pellet fished to the island or off the top with dog biscuit. Generally fishing well all round but the hot pegs have been 1 – 4, 12, 15, 21, 33, 40 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS Pleasure anglers fishing later in the day have enjoyed the best of Gearys this week with carp to 20lb coming to surface tactics or bomb/method feeder and boilies. Some big fish also being caught on paste or corn down the margins. In matches, slapping a pellet on the pole or bomb with 8mm pellet have accounted for nets up to 100lb. Best pegs have been 9 – 13,
18 – 20, 27, 30, 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS Match and pleasure weights are over 100lb and Little Gearys has provided good consistent sport all week. F1s to 4lb providing the bulk of catches but carp to double figures are also being caught. Carp tend to be caught by fishing pellet waggler tight across to the island. The F1s are coming to shallow tactics best with caster or pellet at 13 metres, the top tactic at the moment.

GRATUITIES Decent nets of carp being caught on pellet waggler with cone or pellet to the island. The bigger fish are showing later in the day and fishing tight to the margins with corn, paste or meat is accounting for fish to 15lb. Plenty of crucians, tench, skimmers and smaller carp to be had on float fished caster or soft pellet.

WILLOW Fished ok this week after the fish starting spawning again early on in the week. Carp to double figures and F1s to 4lb have been the main producer of the action and pellet waggler or pellet fished to the island is the top tactic.

ANNIVERSARIES Still not 100% but decent nets of F1s and small carp are being caught on pole fished pellet, corn or caster. The top end of the pool on pegs 2 – 6 and 19 – 23 have been the most consistent.

SIBLINGS A Fished a bit better this week with mixed catches of carp, F1s, ide and skimmers coming best to shallow pole with caster, maggot or banded pellet. Down the edges later in the day is accounting for the better sized carp to double figures.

SIBLINGS B In really good form with nets to over 100lb made up of mainly F1s but the odd decent carp and tench being caught. Pole and paste is the top tactic but pellet or caster is also working well.
