REPORT

MOLANDS   It has been quite hard on Molands this week with the F1s switching off and the carp going into spawning mode.  Having said that, there were some cracking carp caught with fish to nearly 20lb coming to floating baits or in matches on the bomb and pellet or wafters/boilies.  The better F1 nets came to meat fished shallow down the near shelf or shallow on pellet.  Top pegs have been 1 – 4, 15, 29 – 31, 41 – 46 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS   Carp to over 20lb have featured in catches and match weights to over 80lb were recorded.  The high pressure for most of the week has seen lots of fish on the top so shallow or  surface fishing has been best.  Pellet waggler, slapping on the pole and popped up boilies have all worked with the shallow end of the pool from pegs 19 round to 28 best.

LITTLE GEARYS   Consistent in matches with lots of nets between 30 – 50lb and weights to 70lb this week.  The F1s are not feeding fully but are providing bites all around the pool.  Carp to 15lb have also featured in catches.  Meat, caster and corn fished down the margins are the top tactics with shallow pole and pellet also working.

GRATUITIES   Like most of the pools, Grats has seen fish spawning around the margins and sport has been affected by this.  Carp to double figures are coming to pellet waggler or pellet/method feeder fished to the island.  The crucians are showing in numbers with plenty of fish from 12½oz – 1lb coming to pellet or caster fished over micros.

ANNIVERSARIES   Pole and paste has been the top tactic producing lots of F1s and small stockie carp to 2lb.  Pellet and maggot over micros have also worked well with the fish now well spread around the pool.  The bigger carp are in the back bay on pegs 7 – 9 with fish to 15lb coming to boilies fished right to the far bank.

WILLOW   Fishing tight up to the island during the day and down then margins in the evenings has been the best approach on Willow.  Lots of carp to 10lb showing along with F1s to 4lb.  If you can reach the island like on peg 10 sport can be good with pellet, paste or corn all working fished right up.  Down the margins paste or corn is accounting for the bigger samples and fish to 16lb have been reported here.

SIBLINGS A   Siblings A has been a little slow this week with the ide being the most willing feeders and fish to over 1lb are coming to maggot fished shallow.  The F1s and carp are being caught with the far bank the best place and dobbing corn or pellet against the island is working best.

SIBLINGS B   The more prolific pool of the Siblings with lots of F1s, ide and the odd bigger carp being caught.  Paste or pellet at 5 metres is the quickest way to catch but the bigger fish are against the far side and corn or worm is accounting for the carp to 10lb.
