FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS Molands has been in good form over the past week with catches exceeding 100lb. The new F1s have certainly livened up all of the fish and carp to nearly 20lb, F1s to 8lb+, bream to 5lb and tench to 8lb all featured in nets. The best way to fish for plenty of bites is to fish maggot or pellet down the first shelf at five metres or out at 13 metres. Later in the day you can catch close in fishing down the margins. The bigger carp are coming to pellet or boilies fished tight across to the far bank.

GEARYS Although it has slowed down there are still plenty of carp being caught and many of them are doubles up to around 18lb, the best this week. Pleasure anglers fishing boilies/big pellets or popped up bread have caught up to ten fish in sessions. There have been plenty of silver fish caught on the pole with maggot or caster over ground bait.

LITTLE GEARYS Steady sport all around the pool with catches estimated to around 80lb best. Pole fished maggot, caster or pellet has been working best but a small pellet feeder or method feeder fishing tight to the island is also catching.

WILLOW Decent sport on offer this week with plenty of F1s and carp being caught either on the pole with pellet/maggot or a small feeder to the island with banded hard pellet or dead maggot on the hook.

ANNIVERSARIES Annies has gone a little patchy with the fish showing better in the open water and the best pegs are 6, 15 – 19 and 21 – 23. A small waggler or pellet feeder with dead reds or expander is working best for F1s to 4lb and the odd carp.

SIBLINGS A Very patchy but if you can get on them, you will have a good day with carp and F1s coming to dobbed bread or corn fished along the far bank or maggot/pellet fishing down the middle. Best pegs have been 13 – 19.

SIBLINGS B Plenty of F1s have been showing around the end of the pool on pegs 5 – 11 with nets to around 50lb best but plenty of bites from the F1s around the 1 – 2lb range. Dobbing bread across has accounted for the better carp up to 8lb.

GRATUITIES Anglers fishing maggot or caster have been having plenty of fish with skimmers, roach, perch, crucians and the odd tench and carp coming to this. Best tactic for the carp is to fish punched bread on the bomb or waggler and fish to double figures are falling to this.
