REPORT

MOLANDS Some good weights in matches this week with the first ton of the year coming off on Friday’s open. The fishing has been good all around the pool with lots of 50lb+ catches. Big F1s to 8lb have featured along with carp to double figures and bream to 5lb. Pole fished maggot is the top tactic with pellet feeder and maggot feeder also working well.

GEARYS Still a little patchy but some decent nets of fish coming out and will continue to improve when the weather warms up. Match weights to nearly 100lb have come out and nets are made up mainly of carp in the 2 – 6lb mark along with the odd big bonus fish to 15lb+. Pole fished maggot or pellet and hybrid feeder with wafter have been the top tactics. The high bank from pegs 6 – 12 and pegs 27 – 33 have been the best area.

LITTLE GEARYS Been a little hard this week with nets to around 50lb best. The very wet and changeable conditions certainly put the F1s off from feeding well. Pegs 1- 7 have been the best with the wind blowing into there for most of the week and maggot feeder or long pole with maggot/pellet down the margins has working best.

GRATUTIES A quiet week but the few that have fished it have found carp and silvers feeding on the pole line. Corn fished over micros has accounted for the better fish with maggot or caster producing plenty of boilies too.

ANNIVERSARIES The open water pegs on 6, 15 – 17 and 19 – 23 have been best where long pole with maggot or maggot feeder has accounted for plenty of F1s and carp to 3lb.

WILLOW Top tactics on Willow have been shallow or pellet waggler or plopper feeding 6mm hard pellets and catching carp to 6lb and plenty of F1s up to 4lb. Pole with maggot/expander pellet is providing plenty of bites from silvers and F1s.

SIBLINGS A Plenty of F1s, ide and skimmers are being caught along with the odd bonus bigger carp up to 10lb. There are plenty of catches on the pool now and catching short or down the margins is getting better. Maggot or banded hard pellet over micros has been the most consistent tactic.

SIBLINGS B Lots of F1s from ½ lb – 2lb are being caught along with ide, skimmers, tench and small carp. Pole fished pellet, corn or maggot has worked best fished across to the far bank or down the middle at around 6 metres.
