REPORT

MOLANDS After a horrendous few weeks with fish spawning and just not wanting to feed, Molands improved through the week and F1s and carp started to show well all around the pool with carp to nearly 20lb featuring in catches. Pole and pellet fished on the deck or shallow has been the top tactic with waggler fished tight to the island also working well.

GEARYS A little tougher this week but still some cracking carp to 19lb weighed in during matches and pleasure anglers have caught lots of doubles particularly those fishing later in the day. Bomb with 8/10mm pellet or off the top with dog biscuit have been the best tactics for carp. Some decent mixed nets coming to pole fished pellet, corn or paste at 5 – 10 metres.

LITTLE GEARYS The most consistent pool this week with lots of 50lb+ catches being caught all around the pool. Long pole with caster or pellet fished shallow has been the outstanding tactic catching F1s to 5lb. Pellet feeder and waggler fished up to the island is working well too and in the evenings fishing down the margins with corn, paste or pellet is also catching plenty.

GRATUITIES The pegs on the back bank from 9 – 15 have been the most consistent with carp being caught on a pellet feeder to the island or pellet waggler. Mixed nets of carp, tench, skimmers, roach and crucians coming to float fished caster, paste or expander pellet with most most pegs capable of throwing up decent nets.

WILLOW Some good-sized carp are being caught down the margins with paste or corn fished tight to any features with fish to 15lb coming to this. Pellet waggler or a small feeder to the island is catching plenty of F1s and carp to 4lb.

SIBLINGS A Still a little patchy with nets to 40lb best at the moment. F1s and ide making up the better catches with the F1s coming to pellet and worm fished down the track and then ide to caster or maggot shallow.

SIBLINGS B Fished well this week with lots of catches in the 30 – 40lb range and nets to 60lb+ best. F1s from 8oz – 2lb have been the main target but some better sized carp and a few tench have also been caught. Pole fished paste, pellet or maggot have been the top tactics.
