REPORT

MOLANDS The transformation in the last week or so has been unbelievable with Molands now in terrific form and the best of the year so far. Match weights to over 170lb taken with lots of tons and big back up weights with carp to double figures and F1s to 7lb making up the nets. Lots of tactics catching but the most prolific has been short pole with 6mm pellet or long pole with caster or pellet shallow. Good bags are coming from all around the pool but pegs 2 – 8, 23 – 27, 33, 41 – 46 and 52 – 60 are the top areas.

GEARYS Like all the pools, sport has improved over the past week with nets to over 100lb coming from Gearys this week. Pleasure anglers have caught carp to nearly 20lb and there are lots of fish from 10 – 20lb coming out to boilies off the surface. The top tactic in matches has been bomb with 8mm pellet or a method feeder with wagglers on the hook. Pole and paste down the edge is also doing well, particularly later in the day.

LITTLE GEARYS This pool is in great form with lots of big catches coming from all areas of the pool. F1s from 1 – 3lb are providing the main action but carp to double figures and crucians and skimmers also showing. Pellet/method feeder to the island, long pole with caster/pellet shallow or paste/corn down the margins have all accounted for a lot of fish.

GRATUITIES Fished better this week with lots of carp in the 2 – 4lb range, crucians, skimmers and tench also being caught. Pellet feeder or a method feeder fished tight up to the island, long pole with caster/expander pellet or paste have all been working well.

WILLOW Good nets of carp and F1s are coming to pellet waggler or a small pellet feeder fished tight up to the island. The bigger carp are coming to worm, corn or paste fished tight in down the margins.

ANNIVERSARIES Plenty of F1s and small stocked carp being caught on pellet or maggot fished over micros on the pole. The top end from pegs 3 to 10 and pegs 15 – 17 have been the best areas.

SIBLINGS A Catches to around 60lb have been best this week with carp to 8lb, F1s, ide and skimmers being caught from all over. Pole fished pellet, caster, corn or paste down the middle or tight up to the island has been the main tactic. A small feeder to the island is also catching a few.

SIBLINGS B Very consistent and popular with pleasure anglers because of the amount of bites you can get. F1s from 1 – 2lb are the main target but carp from 3 – 6lb and plenty of skimmers and tench also being caught. Short pole with pellet, paste or corn the top tactics.
