REPORT

MOLANDS Molands fished quite hard at the start of the week but was in better form by the weekend when weights to 80lb were caught. Carp to high double figures, F1s to 8lb, skimmers and tench featured in catches with long pole and pellet, method feeder to the island or waggler and pellet all catching a few fish at the moment. Best areas have been pegs 2 – 8, 19 – 23, 27, 31, 40 – 48 and 52 – 60.

GEARYS Probably the best pool this week with match nets to 90lb and pleasure catches exceeding this. Carp to 18lb have been caught with method/hybrid feeder with wafter the top tactic but pole and pellet or corn down the margins are also doing well. Good nets of skimmers also showing to pole with worm/caster or expander pellet.

LITTLE GEARYS With the strong winds over the past week most anglers have chucked a method or pellet feeder to the island or fished close in on the pole with very good results. The fishing has been very consistent all the way round the pool with carp, F1s and skimmers coming from all areas.

GRATUITIES It has been a quiet week on Grats but those who have fished have caught plenty of small carp, crucians and skimmers with pole fished maggot, caster or expander pellet best at 10 – 14 meters. A small feeder to the island is also working.

WILLOW Pellet feeder to the island was the best method last week in the strong winds and this was catching F1s to around the 5lb mark.

SIBLINGS A Siblings ‘A’ has been sheltered from the strong winds making it popular last week and the fishing was quite good. Pole fished banded pellet or maggot across to the island has caught lots of F1s and the odd bigger carp. Maggot is working well for mixed nets of F1s, ide, skimmers and the odd bigger carp or tench.

SIBLINGS B The end of the pool on pegs 7 – 10 has fished really well with lots of F1s and carp being caught on maggot or pellet fished long across to the far bank to start with but coming short later on in sessions.
