REPORT

MOLANDS Molands was quite difficult in the early part of the week but better sport was had through the weekend. The very changeable weather last week did not help as it puts the F1s off and carp make up the better bags. Carp to over 20lb have been caught with plenty of doubles showing from all parts of the pool. In the matches, nets to around 130lb have been best and method feeder to the island, bomb with big pellets or shallow pole and caster have all worked well.

GEARYS Decent sport has on offer this week with match nets to around 100lb best especially those anglers fishing into the evenings. Carp to 20lb have featured in catches with lots of fish in the 8 – 15lb range coming out. Pole with pellet or bomb and pellet have accounted for the better catches in the matches and pleasure anglers have caught well off the top on floaters or with bomb and big boilies.

LITTLE GEARYS Steady but not spectacular with top weights to around 100lb this week. F1s are making up the catches with shallow tactics working best with either long pole and pellet/caster or pellet waggler fished across to the island. Meat or corn fished down the margins is also catching a few fish later in the day.

GRATUITIES This pool has been difficult with the changeable conditions affecting Grats quite badly. Carp nets to around 40lb have been best with corn or meat fished over micros working best.

SIBLINGS A Another pool that has been quite hard with the heavy rain and very mixed weather over the past week. Nets to around 70lb have been best made up of carp, ide, F1s and skimmers blasting maggots short at around five metres and fishing shallow on the top working best. Paste or corn fished tight to the island is picking out the better sized fish.

SIBLINGS B There were some terrific bags of fish caught of ‘B’ this week with nets to over 130lb coming to shallow tactics with caster/pellet or maggot all working well for F1s from
1 – 3lb. The bigger carp have been coming to paste or pellet fished tight across into the far bank. A small method feeder or pellet feeder has also been worth a try.

ANNIVERSARIES Lots of F1s are showing all around the pool along with ide, small carp, skimmers and double figure carp. Shallow tactics like most of the pools has been the best way but pellet, corn and meat on the deck have also been producing decent bags.

WILLOW In good form this week with catches of carp and F1s to around the 100lb mark best. Method feeder fished to the island with a small wafter, pole and caster/pellet shallow and down the edges with paste or corn have all worked well.
