FISHERY REPORT

MOLANDS The milder weather saw the fishing the fishing improve a bit with pegs 2,15-31, 39-46 and 56-60 the most consistent areas. The F1s and carp were hard to catch but nets to 50lb were caught on bomb, waggler or pole with banded pellet . The silvers are going mad for maggots or pinkies with nets to 15lb which is a lot of bites for the time of year

GEARYS Carp anglers have found a few fish by fishing PVA bags and popped boilies and carp to 18lb were caught fishing out to the middle stumps. The carp in matches are coming to bomb and punched bread or a single wafter. The silver fish are coming to maggot or pinkies fished over ground bait and the high bank from 1 – 15 has still been the most consistent area.

LITTLE GEARYS Like most of the pools there has been an improvement in the fishing with match weights to 60lb caught this week. Pole fished maggot or expander pellet and maggot feeder has been the best approach with pegs 7-15 and 27 -30 generally the best areas

ANNIVERSARIES There have been plenty of F1s in the big open area to the middle of the pool and the pole with 6mm pellet or maggot has seen catches to 90lb + from that area. .

GRATUITIES The few anglers that have ventured onto grats this week have enjoyed good sport with carp to 5lb and plenty of f1s and silvers being caught. Top tactic has been dobbing bread along the bank on peg 1,8,9,15 and 16 with the sivers coming to maggot or caster down the middle of the pool.

WILLOW Consistent this week with nets to around 50lb best made up of F1s and carp. Bomb with bread fished to the island or banded/expander pellet on the pole has been the successful way.

SIBLINGS A Still very difficult in the clear water and nets to around 30lb have been best this week. Dobbing bread around your peg for carp has been the most affective tactic but maggot or soft pellet fishing down the middle has also produced a few F1s

SIBLINGS B Fished a bit better last week although still very clear and the end of the pool from 5 round to 11 has still been the best area with F1s to 3lb with the odd carp. Dobbing bread or a pellet around the peg or fishing maggots down the middle has been the best approach.
